Robert Engl was born in Bressanone, Italy In 1967. His journey through life has been so unequivocal and clear cut as his work: art. On finishing school he undertook an apprenticeship as sculptor at the wood carving schools in St Jacob in Ahrntal and Val Gardena. Along side this he studied art restoration. These acquired fundamental skills gave him the necessary tools to be able to convert his thoughts to such an extent that the observer is convinced by their statement.

Engl is a founder member of the South Tyrolean art group "KUNSTMYST", based In Steinhaus, Ahrntal, Italy.

In 1999 he joined the European art group "FREQUENZEN". For both associations he has become an indispensable and active member; resulting in the fact that he closed into himself, but also creates through dialogue with his colleagues. Only open cooperation, and positive discourse lets the experience of life ripen into profound and sense- giving form. To transform this then Into convincing art has become his life-long task.
